Signing in to AlternateHistory.com

You do not need an account for public stories. For members-only stories, you can sign in with your AlternateHistory.com account if it already has permission to read them.

WP Downloader uses your credentials only to fetch the story you requested. It cannot bypass membership requirements, paywalls, locked content, or age restrictions. It only downloads material that your account can already read.

FAQ

Can I download one chapter from a thread?

No. WP Downloader creates a book from the whole story by collecting its threadmarked chapters. It does not support single-chapter downloads or lists of threads from AlternateHistory.com.

Do I need an AlternateHistory.com account?

Not for public stories. Sign in only when a story is restricted to members and your account has access to it.

Can I update an EPUB I already downloaded?

No. WP Downloader cannot add new chapters to an existing EPUB. Paste the story link into the downloader again to create a new book containing the chapters currently available.

Why is a chapter missing?

WP Downloader collects the chapters identified by the thread’s threadmarks, so content without a threadmark may be left out. Restricted content is unavailable unless your signed-in account can read it. Visit Help for further assistance.
