How to get a Story URL

  1. Copy the URL from the Website, or hit share and copy the URL on the App.
  2. For example, wattpad.com/story/9341306-news-updates.
  3. www.wattpad.com/1623482034-news-updates is okay too.
  4. Paste the URL and hit Download!

WP Downloader is a free browser tool that saves complete MediaMiner stories as EPUB or PDF files. Paste a MediaMiner story link into the form above to begin. There is nothing to install.

How to download a MediaMiner story

  1. Open the story on MediaMiner.
  2. Copy its address from your browser. It should look like https://www.mediaminer.org/fanfic/s/category-name/story-title/123456.
  3. Paste the link into the download form at the top of this page.
  4. Choose EPUB or PDF, then select whether to include the story’s images.
  5. Download the finished book to your device.

You can also paste the link into the box on the WP Downloader home page. WP Downloader will recognize it as a MediaMiner link.

MediaMiner downloads include the whole story. Individual chapters and story lists are not supported, so copy the address of the main story page.

Available formats

EPUB is free for everyone. Instructions for this format are available in the MediaMiner to EPUB guide.

PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. The MediaMiner to PDF guide explains the steps for creating one.

You can include the story’s images in either format. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files.

If the author adds or changes chapters, download the whole story again. WP Downloader cannot update an EPUB you have already saved.

MediaMiner is one of the fiction archives on the supported sites page. Support for these archives was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader licensed under Apache-2.0.

Signing in

You do not need a MediaMiner account. Paste the story link into the form and choose a format.

Discord sign-in is required only for PDF downloads. You do not need it for EPUB, and it does not sign you in to MediaMiner.

WP Downloader only downloads content that is already available to read. It does not bypass paywalls, locked chapters, or age restrictions.

FAQ

Can I download one MediaMiner chapter?

No. WP Downloader downloads the complete story, so paste the main story link into the form above.

Can I download several MediaMiner stories at once?

No. MediaMiner story lists are not supported. Submit each complete story link separately.

Which formats can I choose?

You can choose EPUB or PDF. EPUB is free for everyone, while PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. MOBI, AZW3, and TXT are not available.

What should I do if the story changes?

Download the story again to create a new file containing the current chapters. WP Downloader cannot add chapters to an existing EPUB. For help with a link or download, visit the help page.
