What you get

SpaceBattles stories are published as forum threads. WP Downloader uses the threadmarks to find the chapters and combine the whole story into one book.

EPUB is free for everyone and works with many ebook readers and reading apps. The SpaceBattles to EPUB guide has more information about this format.

PDF requires a free Discord sign-in. Follow the SpaceBattles to PDF guide for format-specific instructions.

You can include the story’s images with either format. WP Downloader does not create MOBI, AZW3, or TXT files. It downloads complete SpaceBattles stories, so individual chapters and lists are not supported.

SpaceBattles support was ported from FanFicFare, the open-source fanfiction downloader released under the Apache-2.0 license. See the supported sites page for the other fiction archives available through WP Downloader.

Is sign-in required?

You do not need a SpaceBattles account. Paste the story thread URL into the form to download its threadmarked chapters.

A Discord sign-in is required for PDF downloads. EPUB downloads do not require one.

FAQ

Which SpaceBattles links work?

Use the main story thread URL from forums.spacebattles.com or forum.spacebattles.com. WP Downloader downloads whole stories, not individual chapters or lists.

How does WP Downloader find the chapters?

It reads the forum thread’s threadmarks and collects the marked chapters into one book. Posts outside the threadmarked story are not included as chapters.

Can I add new chapters to an EPUB I already downloaded?

No. WP Downloader cannot update an existing EPUB. After the author posts and threadmarks new chapters, paste the story URL into the downloader again to create a new copy of the complete story.

What should I do if a download does not work?

Check that you pasted the main SpaceBattles thread URL instead of a link to an individual post. If it still does not work, visit the help page for guidance.
